Congressman Hoyer Re-Elected to Congress
FIFTH DISTRICT MD – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-5) released the following statement tonight after Maryland’s Fifth District voters chose him as their Representative for Congress: “I have been proud to represent the Fifth District in Congress and am honored to have been re-elected by voters to continue serving our community. Throughout my career I have worked on a bipartisan basis in the Fifth District and in Washington to deliver results for my constituents – protecting and preserving jobs strengthening our local economy and making important investments in our future. I’m proud of this work and will continue to build on this record so we can put more Marylanders back to work help businesses grow and expand and strengthen the middle class. “Over the next two years I remain committed to addressing the Fifth District’s top priorities. I will continue to put Maryland families first and work with my constituents to improve the quality of life in our communities. I am focused on the Make It In America plan – a jobs initiative I’m leading in Congress – and will work to bring down our deficit in a responsible way.
