Hoyer Applauds Biden’s Order To Raise Minimum Wage For Federal Contractor’s Employees

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement on January 28 regarding President Biden’s executive order to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour for employees of federal contractors, which goes into effect on January 30:

“American workers deserve a living wage, and I applaud the Biden-Harris Administration’s decision to require that all businesses that contract with the federal government pay their workers at least $15 an hour.
