“I’ve always been incredibly proud to be an alumnus of the Prince George’s Young Democrats and a former president of the statewide young Democrats,” said Congressman Steny Hoyer. “Over the next year and a half, Democrats across Maryland will be focusing on energizing our supporters and sharing our message of equal justice and equal opportunity for all. As the ambassadors to the newest voters, young Democrats will have an ability to foster youth engagement and voter registration in a compelling way.
“That is going to be critical, especially in Prince George’s County, with our large student population and growing communities with many young professionals and young families,” continued Congressman Hoyer. “Justice, civil rights, and economic opportunity are at the core of our mission as Democrats, and I’ve been proud to make it my mission in Congress.
