BOWIE, MD - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) was endorsed for reelection by the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) Action Fund. Both organizations work to elect leaders who will take action to address the climate crisis and protect our environment.
"Protecting the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries is one of my top priorities in Congress," said Congressman Hoyer. "The climate crisis is felt by communities throughout Maryland, and it's critically important that we work together here at home to improve the health of our environment for future generations. I'll continue fighting to protect our natural resources and ensure our air is healthy to breathe and our water is clean to drink."
"Now, more than ever, we need Leader Hoyer and other members of Congress to fight for racial justice and equity, including climate justice and environmental justice for communities of color," said Tiernan Sittenfeld, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, LCV Action Fund.
“Marylanders across our state appreciate Steny Hoyer’s longtime leadership to protect the Chesapeake Bay and our state’s other natural treasures,” said Maryland LCV Executive Director Kim Coble.
"Majority Leader Hoyer is an unwavering ally of America’s wildlife and a champion for clean water," said Collin O’Mara, President and CEO, National Wildlife Federation Action Fund.
