Hoyer Statement on the Award of a New Satellite CBOC in St. Mary's County
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement after the Department of Veterans Affairs announced the contract for a new satellite Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in St. Mary’s County:
“I’m pleased that a contract has been awarded for the new satellite Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Lexington Park. I’ve worked for many years to secure funding for this facility and a new CBOC in Charlotte Hall, and I am glad that the project continues to move forward. This announcement is an important step in ensuring veterans in Southern Maryland have access to quality health care close to home.
“I continue to monitor the progress made on the new outpatient clinic at Charlotte Hall. This facility is long overdue, and I will continue to work with local stakeholders to advance the completion of the Charlotte Hall CBOC in a timely manner.”
