WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) released the following statement today in recognition of Earth Day:
“This Earth Day, let us recommit to doing all that we can to ensure our air is clean and our water is safe to drink for future generations. Protecting our many natural resources must remain a top priority in Maryland - from the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries to oyster sanctuaries and wildlife preserves, we must take action to ensure these resources are available to future generations.
“In Congress, I will continue to advocate for policies that protect our environment. I look forward to working with local stakeholders throughout the Fifth District to advance policies that safeguard our natural resources while combating the effects of climate change.”
