Hoyer, Van Hollen Visit Campaign Offices, Thank Maryland GOTV Volunteers

BOWIE, MD -- Today, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) was joined by Senate candidate Chris Van Hollen at two campaign offices in Prince George's County to thank volunteers for their efforts to get out the vote for Hillary Clinton and Maryland Democrats.

“I want to thank each and every volunteer for making a difference for your country and your state," said Congressman Hoyer. "Donald Trump has spent the last 15 months trying to divide us. We cannot let someone like him, who lacks civility and tolerance for others, become President. That’s why your work is so critically important.”

“We are worried about the risk Trump poses to our country and to our values, and we are worried about maintaining President Obama’s legacy of progress on so many issues,” continued Hoyer. “Everyone who is calling neighbors on the phone or heading out to canvass is helping ensure we elect Hillary on Tuesday. But Hillary winning isn’t enough – you’ve seen how Republicans in Congress obstructed President Obama at every turn. We need to elect Members to the House and Senate who will be constructive and positive. That’s why we need to elect Chris Van Hollen to the Senate.

Congressman Hoyer and Congressman Van Hollen visited the Hillary for America office in Landover before visiting the Prince George’s County Democratic headquarters office in Largo.
